PONY CAMP IS HERE!

This week, pony camp will be running from Wednesday June 15th through Friday June 17th and the following week we will be running camp Monday through Friday.

The perfect alternative to day care and a wonderful way to immerse your youth age 5-18 in horsemanship.

Advanced camps are available and if you are interested in trailering in your own horse as opposed to using a lesson horse, arrangements can be made.

Spring Break Horsemanship Camp

Join us at Oxbow Horse Farms for an intensive week of riding and learning the ways of horsemanship. Camp runs Monday through Friday 9am-3pm with before and aftercare programs available. $100 for 1 day, $150 for 2 days, and $300 for all 5.

Classes are available for all ages and levels. First timers through advanced riders are welcome.

School horses are provided but riders may bring their own horse to prepare for 4-H or equestrian team.

Bring a sack lunch. Snacks and water bottles will be provided.

Adagio Dressage Clinic w/Rachel Kelly April 10th

Serious beginners through Grand Prix welcome. This clinic is geared towards trainers, dressage riders, and anyone looking to effectively improve their ride and correctly develop their horse.

Work on Obtaining:
~Your optimal effective seat
~The circle of energy and timing of aids
~Perfecting figures and movements
~True throughness

About the Instructor: Rachel Kelly is a classical dressage trainer and instructor who emphasizes correct and careful development of the horse and rider. She has taught horsemanship for the past twelve years, develops lesson programs, and studied classical dressage with Kathleen Harjess and Erik Herbermann.

About the Clinic:

Individuals and groups of two will ride for approximately 1.25 hours.

The instruction will be geared towards the horse and rider performing more fluidly and as a team. The overriding philosophical objective is to create a partnership of willing participation with the horse through good forward riding and thoughtful leadership.

Riders are expected to work both independently and according to instruction. It is good for riders to come equipped to discuss their training and riding concerns, fears and objectives.

$65 per horse/rider team, $40 for 4-H & Equestrian Team riders. Discounts are available, call or email for details and to register:

Horses Available For Lease!

Oxbow has all types of lovely horses available for lease. If you are interested in leasing a horse, you need to be in a lesson with a qualified Oxbow instructor at least 4 times per month. Come on out to meet the horses and have an evaluation ride!

Did you know that Oxbow holds lessons all year round, every day? You can sign up for western, english (all disciplines), group lessons, private lessons, or semi-private lessons. No matter what your preferences and price range, we have a great horse and instructor for you. If you have your own horse and are looking for a great place to come school or ride the trails, give us a call to schedule a trailer-in time and pay a $15 schooling fee to use the grounds.

School Break Horse & Pony Camps!

Join us for Horse & Pony Camp at Oxbow Horse Farms every time the kids are out of school! Horse & Pony camp is only $100 per day or $150 for 2 days and normal hours run from 9 am to 1 pm with before and after care available by request. Campers ride, play games on horseback, learn horse care and handling, basic farm skills, and learn to make horse treats. Cally 734.439.2455 to sign up or for more information. Campers ages 5-15 with younger students permitted with parental participation. Advanced camps and trailer-in camps are available for pony clubbers and 4-H riders looking to hone their skills.
